What you’ll learn
Lesson Overview
This isn’t just a course—it’s a map out of the fog. Every module is a flashlight into a system that survivors are forced to navigate, usually in the dark. We’re breaking it down, piece by piece, so you’re not just surviving—you’re understanding, strategizing, and building power. Some of these modules are ready to go. Others are on their way, because healing and justice are both journeys. Here’s the lay of the land.
Current Modules
-
The real talk about intimate partner violence—beyond the bruises, into the patterns of power and control.
-
How surviving IPV shows up in women’s bodies, minds, and spirits—and why the system keeps missing it.
-
From hashtags to grassroots movements—how survivors shift culture, challenge narratives, and demand change.
-
The messy, misunderstood intersection of IPV and child welfare—what survivors really need to know.
-
A crash course in the legal maze—custody, safety, and how to not get steamrolled in court.
Future Modules
-
When sh*t hits the fan—emergency orders, surprise court dates, and police at your door—this module helps you stay calm, get clear, and act fast.
-
From burner phones to privacy settings to choosing the safest seat on the bus—this is harm reduction for real life and the algorithm.
-
You’re not “too much” or “too sensitive”—this module helps you name what you need, hold the line, and stop over-explaining.
-
Because knowing your worth isn’t just a cute quote—it’s the foundation for every yes, every no, and every next chapter.
-
What the research and real life say about how kids are affected, and how survivors can support healing at home and in systems that often fail both of you.

Meet your instructors
Julie Burnett, RSW
The fierce, big-sister-energy therapist you didn’t know you needed. If there’s a place where survivors have needed support—family law, emergency shelters, transitional housing, group therapy—she’s been there, done that, and probably left a glitter trail of empowerment behind.
Julie co-facilitates the Stronger Together course with Catherine, bringing her “we got this” vibe and years of experience to help survivors break free and build the life they deserve. She’s all about real talk, solid plans, and making sure you never have to navigate this alone. Buckle up, because with Julie, healing comes with a side of hype and a whole lot of heart. 💖
Catherine Sullivan, RSW
Therapist, book lover, and your no-nonsense guide to navigating intimate partner violence (IPV). With years in child protection (aka the frontlines of family chaos), she knows the patterns, the red flags, and exactly how to help you break the cycle—without the sugarcoating.
When she’s not empowering survivors and calling out toxic relationship tropes, you’ll find her curled up with a book, probably yelling at a protagonist to dump him already. She’s got the expertise, the lived experience, and the zero patience for bad excuses. Whether you need insight, validation, or just someone to confirm that, yes, you deserve better—Catherine’s your girl.
